CARHA Hockey Gift Pack Contest (the "Contest")
OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS ("Contest Rules")
Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Contest Rules, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest.
- Contest Period: The Contest begins at 12:00:01 a.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday, December 2nd , 2011 and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday, December 30th, 2011 (the "Contest Period").
- Eligibility: No purchase necessary. This Contest is conducted by the Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association. ("CARHA Hockey") and is open only to legal residents Canada 18 years of age or over. Employees of CARHA Hockey (and their immediate families and those with whom they are domiciled), subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents, their advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to enter.
- How To Enter: Entrants who make a purchase at www.prohockeylife.ca can email their conformation of purchase to mblanchard@carhahockey.ca. Only one entry per purchase will be accepted. Every purchase is valid for a ballot. All entries will become the property of the Contest and will not be returned. Entries which are incomplete or fraudulent are null and void. The confidentiality and security of each entrant's information is the sole responsibility of the applicable entrants and CARHA Hockey will in no way be responsible in the event a third party gains access to an entrant's user information and claims a Prize (defined below). CARHA Hockey will not provide any collected information to third parties.
- Prize: The winning applicant will receive a prize pack containing a CARHA Hockey winter jacket, CARHA Hockey wind breaker, sweater, golf shirt and gym bag. There will be one drawing for the prize and one winner will be selected at random. Approximate retail value of the prize is $250.00. Prize will be distributed to the selected winner only. Any fees or other expenses not expressly included in the Prize descriptions in these Contest are the sole responsibility of the winner. Actual prizes are based on availability of sizing and may change to suit the needs of our participants
- Winner Selection: A total of one (1) random draws will be conducted from all eligible entries received prior to the scheduled draw end at the offices of CARHA Hockey to determine the prize winner. Odds of winning the prize depends on the number of entries received prior to the end of contest period. On January 2nd, 2012, at the offices of CARHA Hockey, a selected officer will conduct a random draw in order to select the potential prize winner from all entries received via the entry method during the contest period. Entries receive outside of the Contest Period will not be included in the draw. Odds of winning the prize depend on number of valid entries received. Winning entrant will need to answer the skill testing question (4x4)+7. In the event the skill testing question is answered incorrectly another entry will be drawn. All potential winning entries are subject to verification by Contest Sponsors and / or administrators, whose decisions are final and binding. An entrant is not a winner of any Prize, even if these rules otherwise indicate, unless and until entrant's eligibility and the potential winning entry have been verified and entrant has been notified by Contest Sponsors that verification is complete.

General Rules:
The Prize must be accepted as awarded and no Prize substitutions of cash or otherwise or transfer of Prize will be made, provided that the Contest Sponsors may make Prize substitutions of equal or greater value. No contact or correspondence will be made except with potential Prize winners.
The Prize may not be resold or offered for resale in any manner. The Prize cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed.
Submission of entry constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
By entering this Contest through the Method of Entry, each entrant consents to the use of his/her name, image, photograph, voice statement(s) and city of residence by the CARHA Hockey, without further compensation, for any and all publicity purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations and all decisions of CARHA Hockey, which decisions are final with respect to all matters relating to the Contest, including (without limitation) the selection of Prize winner.
By entering the Contest, entrants agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Released Parties against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described with respect to or arising out of either: (i) entrant's participation in the Contest; (ii) the receipt or use of the Prize awarded herein; or (iii) the administration of the Contest (including winner selection) and distribution of the Prizes awarded herein.
The Contest Sponsors accept no responsibility for entries which are lost, misdirected or delayed for any reason. Nor is any responsibility assumed for incomplete entries, incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, including (but not limited to), malfunction, human error, lost/delayed/garbled internet/e-mail transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or failures of any telephone, technical, network, online, or hardware or software or any combination hereof.
Entrants hereby release, waive and discharge any and all claims of damage, loss or causes of action (including, negligence), including (but not limited to) death, personal injury or loss or damage to property, which the entrant or any of the entrant's guests, representatives, heirs, next of kin or assignees ("Entrant's Representatives") may have or which may hereinafter accrue to the entrant or Entrant's Representatives against the Released Parties as a result of the entrant's participation in the Contest or the receipt or use of the Prize(s) awarded herein.
The following actions are prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification from the Contest: (1) using any method that artificially increases odds of winning; (2) non-compliance with these Contest Rules; and (3) any other act which the CARHA Hockey determine, in their sole discretion, jeopardizes the integrity of the Contest.
The CARHA Hockey reserves the right to substitute Prizes of equal or greater value and/or to terminate, modify, suspend or withdraw this Contest, in whole or in part (including altering the manner in which the Prize is distributed), at any time, without prior notice for any reason beyond the CARHA Hockey’s control affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the Contest. In the event a substitute Prize is awarded, such Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise. Further, CARHA Hockey reserves the right to disqualify any person and void any entries of that person who it believes has tampered with the entry process or any other component of the Contest, whose conduct or action affects the administration, security or fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, or who fails to meet or abide by the Contest Rules and conditions. CARHA Hockey does not assume any responsibility for tampering, theft, defects, viruses, human errors including negligence, deletions, technical or telephone, computer line, network, server, access providers, computer equipment or software problems, undeliverable messages, computer errors, lost, misdirected, late or incomplete entries or inaccurate capture of information or any online difficulties that may result in damage or malfunction of the computer or the failure of the Contest Sponsors to process any entry and otherwise award any Prize. Nor is responsibility assumed for printing errors appearing in these rules or related Contest materials. In addition, CARHA Hockey will not assume any responsibility of any nature whatsoever in all cases where their inability to hold or administer the Contest, or to remit the Prizes to the winners, results from a cause beyond their control, including computer malfunction, Acts of God, weather conditions, strike, lock-out or other labour dispute. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should an attempt be made, CARHA Hockey reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
