Learn to Play

CARHA Hockey’s Learn to Play program is an innovative program launched to help adult recreational hockey players improve their basic on-ice hockey skills. Designed specifically for adult recreational hockey players (men and women), the program was created for players who are new to the sport or who are looking to improve their skill sets. Any adult recreational hockey group who is looking to establish or learn more about the curriculum can contact Ashley Burrill directly at aburrill@carhahockey.ca

Players will learn the basics of hockey including: Proper Skating Techniques, Passing, Shooting, Transitioning, Stopping, Turning, Introduction to Crossovers and Puck Handling all in a 5-10 week schedule!
The program consists of explanations including; Technical Explanations of the Skating Stride, Theories, Key Teaching Points, Common Errors, and Corrections
