Lindsay the Intern's season continues at Syracuse University, and she has another update for us on the team's record, their hopes for the rest of the season, and the holiday break!

"As the end of the semester neared and the first half of the season came to a close, the Syracuse Women’s hockey team picked up a couple more wins but not as many as we had hoped. We went 4-1-1 in College Hockey America (CHA) play up until our closing semester series against Mercyhurst University, where we lost the first game and then took them to overtime the next day but fell short. We finished off the semester, 4-3-1 in CHA play and 5-11-2 overall. This is not the first half of the season we had hoped for, but we are looking forward to turning it around when we come back in the new year with 16 regular season games remaining.

Our Christmas break is cut short at home as we have to get back to work for the second half of the season. We are to report back to Syracuse on December 30th to get back in the swing of things. That will give us a solid week to prepare for a big series against Robert Morris University January 5th and 6th, who beat us in the final of the CHA championship last year. It is crucial to stay in shape during the time we have at home. Our coaches told us to be diligent and smart over the break because we cannot afford to lose a step heading into the New Year. While it is a great opportunity to get some rest over the break it is also important we stay in game ready shape. We are given a workout package to follow on our own while we are home. We look forward to making the best out this second half of the season and playing to our full potential."
