Halifax Pickup Hockey is gearing up for its third appearance in the Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament, striving to raise $10,000 for their community. Their dedication is evident, including a successful October fundraiser at 2 Crows Brewing Co., demonstrating the true spirit of hockey and community.

Champions on and off the ice! The Lakefield Ladies Hockey Association stepped up to the challenge, collecting 70 new and gently used bras for Bras Around the Building. Adding to their incredible generosity, the LLHA contributed $350 to breast cancer research. CARHA Hockey matched this donation in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and their unwavering commitment to the cause.

The Parksville Panters shared a fantastic glimpse into their September tournament, featuring a wonderful array of social activities. This marked the 21st edition of the tournament, where teams of varying age groups, from 60+ to 85+, came together to participate. Each team had the opportunity to play three games, and rather than emphasizing division winners, the tournament's core focus is on fostering sportsmanship and the joy of the game. The event spans three days, with an effort to ensure that each team plays one game per day. It's a celebration of hockey, camaraderie, and the spirit of friendly competition.
