The Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association (CARHA) and Northern Alberta Female Hockey Association (NAFHA) are pleased to announce NAFHA is joining CARHA Hockey at the start of the 2022-23 season. For over 45 years, CARHA Hockey has been a dedicated resource in support of adult recreational hockey in Canada. NAFHA’s strong presence in Northern Alberta with four Divisions and 30 teams welcomes females of all levels to play. In addition to enhancing the hockey experience for players, the growth of female participation in sports and recreation is integral to both organizations. This collaboration is a great fit, aligning goals for continued progress.

“We are very excited to welcome NAFHA for this upcoming season,” said Laurie Langlois, Manager of New Business and Community Engagement at CARHA Hockey. “Teaming up reinforces our shared commitment to advancing opportunities for women of different levels of experience. We see great success working together from both sides of this partnership and look forward to building a longstanding relationship!”

"NAFHA strives to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for women to continue playing hockey through adulthood. We found it only fitting to join CARHA Hockey in continuing to provide this environment for our players. CARHA Hockey is a well established supporter of adult recreational hockey and we look forward to working together while playing the game we love," shared the NAFHA Executive Board.
