MOLSON CARHA HOCKEY WORLD CUP EDITION

From March 19-26, approximately 100 teams from 9 countries gathered in Richmond, BC, for the world's largest international adult rec hockey tournament! Lifelong memories and friendships were made during the week-long event as athletes also experienced Opening and Closing Ceremonies, an Athletes' Village packed with activities, and even a welcoming march through the streets of Richmond.

The women's division included teams from British Columbia, Switzerland, and Australia! There were some returning players, but it was a first for many to experience international competition. Team Australia made their own history with their first international event. They travelled with four coed teams, and their female athletes got extra game time stepping in to add an additional team.

Ash Elliott from Australia took a few minutes to chat with us rinkside before the game about key takeaways from 2023 Molson Canadian CARHA Hockey World Cup and their first international tournament. Shout out to the people, the hospitality, and the beer!

TEAM ITALIA REIGNITES HOCKEY PASSION

Lisa Kaczmarek and Ashley McKerral didn’t know what they were getting into when they answered Team Italia's recruitment call. Still, they had the experience of a lifetime, joining the 40+ men's team. Hockey brings people together in the most unexpected ways, and Lisa and Ashley have a place on the team anytime they want to travel to Italy!
