The Hamlet of Tulita is a beautiful community in the Sahtu region of the Northwest Territories. Tulita sits on the corner of the Mackenzie River and Great Bear River, with less than 500 residents. Years ago the Hamlet of Tulita had an outdoor hockey rink for all community members to enjoy, however, in the last decade there has not been an outdoor rink in the community. The youth of Tulita in the past three years have gained an immense love for Hockey, and due to resource limitations do not have access to a rink year round. We want our youth to be able to participate in the sport we all love, get active, and enjoy the great outdoors. This is why we are hoping to create as many winter Hockey opportunities as possible for the youth and re-open an outdoor rink for the 2022-2023 season!
